Hi all I have wanted to become pregnant for so long I have type one I have been working with dsn who gave me pre and post meal targets today my consultant gave me the go ahead and asked what I was waiting for said my hbaic was fine but yet my pre and post meal targets are never nowhere near the targets has anyone else been like this I’m terrified

Hello,

I am also TTC- I don’t always hit the (pre) pregnancy targets they have asked me to aim for - but I still try my best to aim for them. I was
never in the habit before, but I have start recording my BG levels and foods I have eaten.
If there are particular foods which throw me out of range I will try to avoid them or find alternatives.

You could always keep a log (bg diary) of your readings and then take to your DSN to get advice on how to get closer to the pre/pregnancy ranges?

What is your hba1c? What are your levels usually at before meals? and post meals?

edit: Also make sure you are taking a prescribed dose of Folic acid.
