My BIN is 22.Your diet sounds good. Those BS readings are not too bad so I would wait until the next review and HBA1C blood test. The Januvia will only have been making a small difference so taking you off them won't have had a big effect. You say you have lost weight? What is your current BMI?

Morning readings are subject to the dawn phenomenon. They will come down in their own good time.
Personally I wouldn't eat potatoes, oranges and I treat carrots with caution. If I were you, I would ditch them until you are happy with your numbers and then gradually reintroduce them slowly.
Are you using an app such as mySugr to record your food and readings? I found it highly motivating. It can help you see patterns. After a week of entering data it will give you an estimated HbA1c.
