I went full keto flu today and feel terrible. I had huge anxiety, blood pressure went to 182 top line and i feel absolutely awful. My mind is not focused at all, feel weak, shaky etc. I fly tomorrow afternoon and have anxiety around that. A friend suggested carbs and tbh, i have chosen the wrong time to do this as I would never be able to fly in that condition tomorrow. I felt better after a few oatcakes and ate eggs, chicken sausage and avocado, but am feeling exhausted and rough again. It seems like I am caught between both diets and peeing a lot.I managed to sort luggage and house etc earlier but again feel weak and worried. What should I do? Getting cramps in feet and hands. I take 500mgs metformin daily. I am drinking loads as very dehydrated and also using electrolytes. Any advice would be helpful. I just increased the electroyltes, seems you need large doses.

As long as you're re-hydrated and not low on electrolytes you may find yourself absolutely fine in the morning. Mine lasted about 24 hours.
The chances are on holiday you may struggle to keep to Keto, so it may be better to enjoy yourself, and get your head down to business after your holiday.
Relax and have a good time, stressing will not help at all.

I'm gonna resume this at home. I feel dreadful and despite eating some carbs, i still have dripping nose, and feel yuck and bad, all over!

Are you sure this is keto flu and not simply flu?
Flu as in a cold/influenza/covid virus?

Yes, i was fine until today. I don't feel i'll with a cold. Yesterday was first day totally carb free and although I became far better than earlier when i consumed some carbs, i still feel ropey . My anxiety went off because I couldn't sort my extensive luggage etc etc. I don't have a cold. Very light headed, spaced out and not a lot of energy.

Honestly I think a couple of weeks in makes keto flu less likely unless you made a huge change yesterday. From what you’ve posted previously you made the biggest change at the beginning. I’m hoping that’s it though and continuing the fluid and electrolytes along with a small increase in carbs sorts you out rapidly.

The fact that you don’t feel cold-like doesn’t rule out either normal flu or covid as both can come on rapidly. Please take a covid test if you can and wear a decent mask on the plane if you still travel. I was hospitalised with covid and flu both (didn’t feel at all cold like) and caught it on a plane from an obviously sick man who didn’t wear a mask and coughed and sneezed all over the place the entire flight. (I’d been nowhere else indoors or close to others).

I just tested positive for Covid. My first time. I had put all the symptoms on change of diet and didn't have a clue I h had it. I just learned 30 mins ago and now get why I have been feeling so strange and rough as old boots. Thanks again to you all for advice and responses.
