Can you give us a few more details? What kind of diet? What kind of numbers are you seeing?
It van be a lonely world while you try and manage a chronic condition. Luckily, this is a great place to feel less alone!

Hi @Hoffer , and welcome,

@mouseee makes good points... And if we're to help, answers would be quite welcome. There are so many diets out there, quite a few of which would help, and others that should, that most definitely make a bad situation worse. So, what was the diet you tried? Do you know why it failed, by any chance? (Might not have been sustainable, or not had the desired result as it was, or...?). It sounds like part of you is still raging at the diagnosis. It can be helpful to try and channel that seeming contrariness into a "I'll show them!" kind of motivation... In the meantime, maybe have a read here https://josekalsbeek.blogspot.com/2019/11/the-nutritional-thingy.html and get the basics of low carbing down pat, and if you can toss some of your numbers our way (before and after eating, if you test then, or your HbA1c), please do. The more we have to go on, the better we can help without making moot points that are absolutely useless to you. Also, are you on other medication or do you have comorbidities that might affect your blood sugars? (Steroids and statins can up glucose, for instance, as can chronic infections and the like.)

This may just be the day where you start turning things around. Take heart.
Jo

Hi @Hoffer Welcome to the forum. Please could you clarify if you are type 1 or 2, (as you've written about type 2, but your profile says type 1) so people can reply to your posts appropriately. Thank you.
