Jess
I am sure that some younger persons will come along, but my advice and encouragement comes from someone, who has not always been a diabetic angel....
Have a look around this website Jess, you will see many, many postings from adults and also teenagers that have had problems with staying on track ALL the time....believe me you are not the only person...you are not alone.
The best thing is, that you have recognised that you need to do something better to look after yourself. the next thing is that you will get so much support from this website, young and old alike....
There are many parents here of much younger children than yourself and can learn from you what your experiences have been, and why you went off course for a while-BECAUSE their children may one day have the same reactions as you have had......for example....did your parents help you, were they strict, were they too strict???? we all learn from each other here, and we all have different experiences...good and bad....
It is good that you have recognised that you need to improve,....however you need to keep everything in balance....your life AND your diabetes....you don't want one controlling the other or vice versa.
You will get some fantastic support here.
