My first time using this website, I would love to hear from someone who like me is still struggling with there blood levels.
I was put on insulin 2 years ago, I've been on courses, read books. You name it i've tried it.
At the moment i'm using a bolas adviser to help me.
Is it nomal to struggle like this for so long, i'm beginning to get depressed

Maybe you need support from some one who takes insulin ..are you type 1

@noblehead @Robinredbreast are names that come to mind ....they may be able to assist ...or know someone who can help you ...
 
Are you under care of a consultant or your GP?

Are you testing pre and post meals?

Are you comfortable about making changes to your insulin, ratio's etc?

It can be a struggle.. Do you lower carb.. By doing this you can also reduce the swings in your levels....
 
If your not under the care of a hospital diabetes clinic then I would ask your gp to refer you over, they are more specialised in dealing with issues related to type 1 diabetes.

Just what is it you are actually struggling with, a bit more information would be useful, however have a look at the following which is an on-line carb counting course similar to DAFNE, it might just contain something that you've completely forgotten about since doing your courses:
