Certain medications have been linked with diabetes, statins, beta blockers, anti depressants, not every single brand but some. Diabetes type 2 isn't always caused by being overweight despite what the media would have you believe.

My hba1c on diagnosis was 48 (6.5%) but it went up to 54 (7.2%) after I went onto statins'. I've been off them for a year now and my latest hba1c, tested last week, is down to 36.

I'm not and have never been on any other medications so can't be anything like that for me unfortunately.
