Can you help had lunch today in work took my nova rapid and then checked my bloods they had shot up to 22, so I then took a correction of Nova Rapid
and checked and hour later they had shot up to 23, drank water etc, but I am in work and cant take any more in case I drop ?
 
Im having this **** problem!! Im phoning dsn tomorrow. Youll b fine just take it easy i dont know what it is as im having this too... And snap i cant take more correction doses either as same reason. Hope we both get this sorted!
 
Hi Liz, daft question but did you remember your basal? Also check your pen and see if it is actually dispensing the insulin correctly and or the cartridge hasn't broken.
If this isn't the case and you are still rising then you need to leave work and sort it either by using a different batch/cartridge of insulin and or phoning your DSN.
 
@lizholder sorry you had a rough day, did you prime your insulin? what's your ratios in the afternoon, what did you eat? a little bit more information will go a long way in us helping you >.<
 
Perhaps the NovoRapid has gone bad? Would also try another NovoRapid pen in a case like this.
 
Thank you all for your help took me two days to get my level back to normal, it was 16 the following day, don't understand.. But have had an ear infection which could have caused a background problem. But it is good to know other people have the same problems and you are all there to help.
