For administators: Please dont think that its an advertisment. Its really important to me!

Dear Marcus1983,
I must admit that I've never heard of 'Vedenayr' so I can't advise, but I would say that you need to be very cautious indeed with using some alternative herbal medicines, especially if you have diabetes as many of them are known to interact with various prescribed medications and produce various side effects.

You don't say what diet you follow so I can't help other that sugest you research this site and follow a balanced low carb diet with plenty of variety of fruits, cerials (idealy low GL foods i.e.porrage), oily fish (mackerel, salmon, sardines (twice weekly)) and drink adequate water as well. II's best to spread things out throughout the day, and eat little and often, and don't miss out on breakfast at any time as this is the most important of all the daily meals.

I'm not sure that I should say this, but in my years of diabetic research I found out that 85% of newly diagnosed Type 2 diabetics had a below average level of chromiun present in the body. This was more prevelent the older the Type 2 diabetics was and the level of chromium present within their bodies was shown to decrease as they aged.

When I was first confirmed as having Type 2 diabetes I tried using a chromium health suppliment myself (200 micro grams daily) and managed to normalise my B/G levels within a few weeks, and as a bonus I managed to stay off all diabetic medications for 12 years after being first diagnosed.

Eventuall my HbA1c (the tell tale as to how diabetes is controlled long term) started to slowly creep up and I'm now on Metformin which I use together with the chromium, a combination which I personally find seems to work particularly well. The only other health suplement that I have used is Evening Primrose Oil and this was when I was experiencing 'pins and needles' in both my feet - That cured it and the problem hasn't fortunately returned for over 6 years now.

If you do decide to try out any alternative herbal medications please inform your Dr or DN and seek their advice before doing so.

Hope this advice is of some use to you - Best Regards - Lazybones

Dear Marcus1983,
I've sent you a PM that gives details about Chromium that you might find of intrest.

I also looked at the site you mentioned and several of the acclaimed ingredients that are contained within the herbal product that they are marketing are known to me. In their own right many of the individual ingredients are known to 'slightly lower' B/G levels but combining so many into one product well ... I just don't know.

I would suggest that you carefully read the PM that I've sent on to you and then decide whether the Herbal Product that you have found or the Chromium is the better option. I know which one I would prefer to use.

Best regards - Lazybones
