Had a really good walk this afternoon coming back to the hotel. Took the long way and ended up walking nearly 10k.

When I got in I had a shower and some cheese as I had a nasty metal taste in my mouth. (only had breakfast so far)

Tested with a bg of 4flat. Feel OK in myself but even a coffee and cleaning my teeth hasn't got rid of the metallic taste.

Er. Anybody know why? Something LC related I'm guessing?

Thx

The only time I experienced something similar was when I was taking Metformin. One of the side effects is Taste Disturbance. I have noticed that one or two other pills claim the same thing.

OK.
Don't totally understand that. Seems to be a good thing as such. So long as it doesn't go too far?

Searching seems to pitch it as the Holy grail of health right through to needing to get pee sticks to check your not poisoning yourself.

I'm going with good even though the taste is naff.

I'm assuming it will pass. Suppose it shows I'm properly on the lchf path.

I'm hoping a 6oz serloin with mushrooms and salad will take the edge off the taste. I'm no fan of the 'flavour'

I have a metallic taste in my mouth a lot. Usually when ketones are high. Drives me nuts!

I've never had a metallic taste from ketones - just somewhat sweet...o_O
