Hello all
My step-daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in september last year, at the age of 19, she is coping well with the diagnosis.
However myself, I don't know anything about it as I've never grown up or been around anyone that has Diabetes.
I am looking for advice to all aspects of looking after her if anything bad happen's.

Her mother knows what to do as her ex partner has type 1, she knows what to do if anything happens.
However with her mum going on the cruise ships to work I feel I need to step up and take responsibility if my step daughter has any problems.

Many Thanks in advance

Hi @JackT4R258

Welcome to the forums - you'll find some great information if you read the sites main pages and the forums are great if you don't understand anything or need a bit of extra insight then just ask.

Hi John and welcome to the forum :)

If you go to your local library you'll find some good books on type 1 diabetes so you can read up on the condition, when you do pay particular attention to the section on hypo's, I'm sure you'll both be fine but well done for wanting to expand your knowledge.

Thank you for the responses, I will take all the nessecary action to further expand my knowledge. :)
