Hi all

hi, Boots (initially told me it would be £35 per sensor which I thought was too good to be true. Couple of days later, they corrected this and told me it was £67, which is with the VAT knocked off.

I had a chat with my local chemist at the weekend and the chap there is going to look into how much the chemist company would be prepared to charge me for them.
They pay Abbot £42 a sensor and then claim back the £7 VAT for themselves. So I would have to pay at least £42. You personally cannot get the VAT back when buying through the chemist. It has to go to the chemist or they would be out of pocket. It will then depend how much the Chemists want to charge me on top. Hopefully it will be less than what I pay now with postage on top.

Just got my answer £45. So not NHS prices, but cheaper than Abbot and as he will always have a few in no long waits. He has told me to check with my GP first though, but not holding out much hope on that one.
