Been wandering around here a fair bit, signed up, but could not sign in, so re-signed, enjoying the forum and info, I was diagnosed quite a while ago, type 2 ,on Metformin, been battling with diet changes, losing weight etc, but on the right track now, I have had several TIA's ( mini- strokes ) which only affected my eyes at the time so mobility ok, now using the exercise bike which has not been used since we bought it, its a recumbent, comfortable and easy to use, just taking it easy at the moment, I have been advised not to drive for 3 months, I haven't driven since January when I had the first TIA, thought It best not to, as I have found out they can come anytime, luckily the diet changes are much the same as for Diabetes so, pressing on

Hello and welcome @johneee

Sounds like you have been through a lot.

Do you use a meter to test your levels? What kind of diet changes have you made?

I agree with @mo53 I have found this website to be very helpful for me in managing my diabetes.

Good luck and welcome.

Cooking a lot of curries, I am a veggie so no major changes really except for bread, but have started to make my own chapati's and such, only thing that's difficult is when we are out and about, cafes etc

Hi johneee, welcome to the forum.

I did exactly the same, visited and read posts for a while before joining, but I can promise you it's full of friendly helpful people. I have learned more here than I did in the previous decade.

Looking forward to reading more of your posts. :)
