Hi All

Thought it was worth saying hello to you all as I am a newbie on here.

I am 32 and was only diagnosed Type 1 diabetic in July 2010, previously "diagnosed" as suspected Type 2 for 12 months until a time in hospital.

I am getting along ok with managing myself, I have ups and downs that I guess is usual with everyone at this early stage. My whole situation has been made more complicated with the breakdown of my 11-year old marriage in November - certainly made it hard to concentrate on balancing my diet while dealing with this!

Anyway, I look forward to the help and advice I will hopefully get from all of you good folks on this forum.
 
Hi SJ and welcome aboard. I'm a type 2 since January and am finding this site a wonderful resource. One of the board monitors will be along before too long to let you have the newbie introductory stuff, in the meantime have a good read aroundand don't miss the search function; it's helped me track loads down :D

Sorry to hear about your marriage, it's an extra stress you don't need.
