Hi there,

I was diagnosed Type 2 in October and have been meaning to join here since then. Procrastinators of the world unite!

To be honest I'm just confused by all this. Nobody seems to have taken the time to explain things to me. I've been told I need to change my diet but not how specifically, just that it needs to change. So far I've been on a couple different medications and am currently unmedicated, waiting to hear from the Diabetic Clinic for an appointment to go back.

In general I feel like I've been...not mistreated by the health service but....untreated? Just kind of "here do this and get on with it"...

This looks like a great, supportive place and maybe I'll get the support here that I'm lacking from the health service.

Hi

I am kinda new to all this aswell and feel as though I have just been left to get on with things. It seems as though the health service tell you that you have diabetes and just expect you to know everything and just get on with it. I am Type 2, diet only (and not over weight) and hoping it stays that way. :)

I am hoping this site will answer my many questions.

If anyone has any advise on the best way to keep your BS stable that would be great.

Hello everyone. I have registered for the first time to try and help my husband who has just been diagnosed with type 2 bordering on type 1. He is completely devastated by it all and I am the one that's being strong for him. I need all the support and help you can give me x
