Hi & welcome
I really feel for you knowing what it's like at the start but the main thing is to look at your diet.. yes the Nhs will have said to still eat carbs at every meal, but they fail to tell you that by doing so you may well get worse & not gain control as many have found on here.
If you were a person that included sugar in your diet eg sweet, chocolate, fizzy drinks, well they are a thing of the past. Cutting right back on starch eg potatoes pasta, rice etc is a must aswell as carbohydrate intake, wheat products etc. Increasing your veg, not not underground veg so much as these are starchy & increasing your fats by using good oils to cook & dress salads & not using low fat products & butter instead of marg. Trust the many on her that live with the condition day in day out, it's the best way to gain control .
