Hi from Sydney Australia

Sorry, just noticed this,
I also take Januvia, which is an inhibitor.
It works to increase your initial insulin response to a meal, it lowers the spike from the meal.
This should lessen the amount of insulin necessary from a secondary insulin response.
But, that is it, my last eOGTT, I still went hypo despite only getting as high as 8mmols, the excess insulin after my secondary insulin response sent me hypo.
It is not a magic pill, it just helps if you have a very low carb diet. Especially if you eat too many carbs.
You should realise, that your dietary lifestyle will have to change.

Hope this helps,

Best wishes

Thank you very much for your very kind reply, @Lamont D !! I learned a lot from you ! I have never heard about “Late Reactive Hypoglycemia “.. it is for endocrinologist area, right ? I may need him/her. Is your blood glucose level high after meal ? And drop very low, like mine ? And you are not diabetic.. I may be a similar situation like you.
I would like to read RH here, but I could not get it... I will try again .
Thank you again for your very valuable information!! Wow !

Hi @Brunneria,
I tried to access RH here, but the link does not work.. how can I find that forum, please ?
I would appreciate your great help !!
Thank you again !

Yes, it is specialized endocrinologist area. And you will need him/her for the next lot of tests to get a definitive diagnosis.
If I ate the wrong foods, yes, I would spike high, and drop to a low level after a few hours, known as a hypo! And, yes, I'm not diabetic!
One of the other knowledgeable diabetic on here has given you the link to the RH forum, there are lots of threads and posts about the many types of Hypoglycaemia, like diabetes, there are many types, but the rarity of the condition is not as well known as it should be, due to it being a specialist area. Not many GPS have even seen a patient, more likely a woman, a man with RH is even rarer!
After you have posted a few more posts on the forum, you will have access to a lot more information and you will be able to gain access to my blogs, which @Brunneria will be able to give you a link.

I'm certain that you have many questions, we will try and answer them.
Hope that helps.

Best wishes and g'day.

@Lamont D
You can tell anyone to find your blog by simply clicking on your profile name and then selecting the blog option.
You don’t need me for that!

Thank you very much for your very kind reply, @Lamont D !
I have a link to RH, but it does not work...
I definitely have RH, but also I have high blood glucose after dinner... so my doctor diagnosed that I have diabetes... but I may not have it....
Interesting. I will discuss about this with my doctor.
When I did 4 hour glucose tolerance test, even the pathologist did not diagnose that I have RH because 3.2 is not lower than 3.0, but after that I felt shaky and headache.. but their definition of RH should be lower than 3.0.
I have been having symptoms for long long time....
Thank you very much for your very kind reply !! Very valuable to me !
Thank you !
