Have you ever used a continuous monitor like freestyle libre to help finding patterns? They do a free trial if you've never used one before.
In the morning, it may be that two things are at play. Many of us experience 'foot on the floor' effect, basically our helpful livers dumping some extra glucose in our bloodstream to give us an energy boost to start the day with. The most normal occurrence was 7-9 on waking at 7am. but 13-15, 2 hours after breakfast . Breakfast being egg or fish, 1 wholemal slice of bread. 11/2 decaf tea Maybe once a week bowl of 25-30g of porridge in water with a dash of milk and a splash of soya cream.
Glad to hear you're on the mend again, and yes, no patterns to find when being unwell.Hi ,Thanks, I did have a pattern but became unwell, so the readings are only just reurning to ''norm''
What about having a full English, minus the beans and toast?Im always reluctant to give up bread or my handful of potato. I only weigh between 45 and 49 kg. I get very hungry an hour after breakfast .
Both Aldi and Lidl have a very nice 10% fat plain Greek yoghurt, it's the fat content that makes it filling, you need the calories.thick plain yogurt
Hi . I went to bed at 14. Not u usual. This a.m I awoke to 6.8 (. Prior to being unwell this had become the norm.)What about having a full English, minus the beans and toast?
Bacon and eggs, tomato, mushrooms, all fried in butter may fill you up better than that slice of toast.
I tend to get hungry when my blood glucose is high, which makes sense because the glucose sitting in the bloodstream isn't being used for energy.

Hi , I've been using Fage 5% or Fage 2% , mixed with skimmed milk.Milled seeds. And tspn plain cocoa powder. A dietician suggested mixing 1/2 banana or dspn strawberry jam. But I became afraid of any high sugar products so rarely added this. What about having a full English, minus the beans and toast?

Full fat yoghurt tastes better, and is a lot more filling as well. Half a banana would spike me into the high teens, and creamy plain yoghurt tastes fine to me. If you like adding something to your yoghurt, you can try nuts, nuts don't have many carbs.Hi , I've been using Fage 5% or Fage 2% , mixed with skimmed milk.Milled seeds. And tspn plain cocoa powder.
