Hi, I have a weird question to ask

Hi everybody,
I know this is going to comeover as weird me asking, Don't know where to go with this, so here goes! Please forgive me for the question....
When i first go for a wee in the morning it smells real strong of wee, I know that sounds weird but it never has until these last 6 days, until then really no smell but it is a srong wee smell!
I just wondered if anybody else has this and could there be a reason behind this!

the antibiotics you are taking for your tooth might be affecting you ,whenever i take them my wee smells funny too hope your tooth is getting better

I get that as well and very dark yellow coulor I just thought it was because it was the first wee of the day if it dose meananything please could someone let us know thanks :shock:

If you are dehydrated, your urine will frequently smell stronger - and the colour will be darker, is that the case?

Other than that, no suggestions other than to mention it to your doc if it continues to be of concern.

Yes i get dehyrated with the anti botics these last few days!

Tooth is alittle better! Not been eating or drinking alot, maybe i am worried as just found out mum has got stage 5 kidney failure! she told me last night! very worried about that at mo!
I atteneded the hospital this morning for dentist appointment, yet more anti botics, the dentist said that the infection is in the root of the tooth now as well as the abcess!

Dehydration causes concentrated, dark coloured Wee. Once in the bowl with the water, healthy wee is almost invisible, or a pale yellow. Try a glass of water at night

Could be the antibiotics, some may make your pee smell (asparagus is worse!), could be dehydration making it more concentrated, could also be ketones, which actually smell a bit like acetylene if you've ever been in a welding shop

If it's the antibiotics it will wear off when you stop them. If it's ketones this may be no bad thing (my first pee usually niffs a bit) it just means your body has adapted to burning fat. Are you losing weight as well as getting your BG in line?

i have lost a pound or two, But down at minute, On top of tooth now have a cold as well!
But the bg average no higher than 10 at the minute!

I don't know if you've been drinking excess amounts of tea lately. My mum does, and her's comes out very dark coloured and smelly. lol

As stated, it's probably the antibiotics.
