Totally understandable that following your loss it has been difficult to take diabetes seriously. I have been a Type 2 for a long time but I didn't really take it seriously until I had an episode with my eyesight in December. This forum is a great place for support and finding new information so you are in the right place. Looks like you want to make a change which is always the hardest step. All the best.

This will be a great step in the right direction @Elainehg
As you say your doctors was closed today.
Been to the chemist gave me a leaflet that should have been in box with pen so I have now taken sorry injected my first insulin didn't hurt was more nervous just putting in my belly but I am sure I will get use to it and hopefully start to feel better thanks

Yep - the more shots we do
The easier they get :)

Understandable to be nervous today .
You will feel a great difference in your body pain you mention of .
Once the insulin kicks in - feeling so much better .

You will get use to it as Anna has said, just be sure to use a new needle every-time and rotate your injection sites, this will limit any pain and discomfort. Well done for getting the first injection out of the way.
