Regarding statins my consultant and gp have finally come to agree that statins have had a adverse effect on my muscle enzymes and finally taken me off them after years of trying different ones. I now just take 10mg eztimbe.

My views on statins are well known but I can't comment without being contentious and sometimes deleted. I think they are dangerous.

My GP was really pleased with the fact that my cholesterol levels had dropped so well as a result of the statins he prescribed me. I still haven't had the heart to tell him I never took them!
