Hi need some advice please

I tried to get a appointment with doctor today, apparently no appointment until next wensday, 10 days time.
things have gone from bad to worse over the last few days, last two nights been 9.8. last night i was 10.2.
woke up this morning and used my last stick and lancet, my blood sugar was 10.5,
last night i was up three times needing a wee, i am drinking like anything!
i drink mostly bottled water, i am having severe pains behind my eyes and i have got blurred vision!
the last two days stayed off potatoes and rice etc, to knock the carbs out!
i have this weird head that has not gone away all day! i am starting to get worried as the pain behind my eyes feel like stabbing pains.
I am wondering if i should try to get emergency appointment in the morning with a different doctor than my normal one!
I have not been diagnoised as diabettic, but my last fasting blood test was high! my doctor said that if i get worse to go back and see her! but her next appointment is next wensday!
 
You should definitely go and see your doc asap, emergency appointment will do. You have high sugars and diabetic symptoms so will need consultation and sooner the better! You'll feel so much better for doing it! Good luck and keep us posted!
 
Managed to get doctors appointment,
the doctor has ordered lots of blood tests! including a hcg1 i think!
i am having the blood tests done tomorrow! he said i should not worry!

i will let you know how things go.
it takes 7 days for blood tests to come back, i have already made appointment to see gp 7 days after blood test taken!

Lets hope your doctor sorts you out soon.
I think the test you mean is HbA1c. Which will tell him/her how good your control has been in the last 3 months.
there is an HCG, but that's to do with pregnancy :?

yes that is the one, i have lost over half of my sight over the last few months! i could not make out the letters!

the doctors say it takes 7 days, i reckon my blood will walk there and the results will crawl back! as the doctor said 7 days, seems like a long time for results to me!
i thought that most blood tests only take a few days as most!
 
You could try ringing up the doctor's surgery and asking if they have your results yet after 3 days or so, sometimes they say 7 days because they will definatly have them after 7 days, even if they might have them a few days before.
