Hi everyone.
New to this site, been type 2 for over 8 years Im 48 and married with 3 boys. Treated with Metformin, but GP has added Gliclazide to this as my BG were creeping up (last Hba1c 8.5) Hope to gain lots of insight and tips from everyone on here.

Hi ladyA,

i'm t1 soi may not be of much use  but still wanted to say hey!

hope the new meds helps you lower your HBA1c :)

Hi there Synonym ,

I just try to eat a healthy diet and limit my carbs to about 130g per day which I know is liberal but I just love potatoes  . I must admit I never use to watch what I eat, but since my meds have changed its like a wake up call for me and Im trying a lot harder, but like everyone I have my off days. Lets hope my Hba1c is a bit better when I have it done at end of July.

Hello again LadyA. :)

You will find loads of interesting information on here so have a good read around the forum - you may become inspired! 8)

Some of us know what we ought to do but sometimes it has to become a real need with an 'if you don't' attached to it before we start to do anything. :( Hope your Hba1c is an improvement for you at the end of the month. :)
