My Name is Rosemary, looking forward to lots of info on the site. I wsas diagnosed type 2 a year past in Feb and have steadily had my metformin upped to 4 a day which i am not coping with. they are killing my stomach and casing me to run to the loo whenever i eat. cant understand why i have a weight problem as everything just runs right through me.
am going to the doctors on Tuesday to see if there is an alternative, would appreciate any suggestions

Your question about Metformin is one that crops up often. A lot of people have trouble with it.

There is a slow release version Metformin SR which can sometimes alleviate the symptoms you describe. Discuss this with your GP when you see him/her ?
