I am going to go swimming next week as i feel better in water than out of it i am also going to be going to hydrotherapy too as the water is warmer than when swimming too so cannot wait but i have to wait for it to start back up again.
So i will need to find my costume out.
Hopefully will help with my diabtes blood sugar too.

Know what you mean about feeling better in water, the issue I have is getting from the changing rooms to the pool, I just feel SO self conscious. Well done you! Fortunately I have a lovely quiet spot to wobble my way to fitness using the couch to 5k app.

Oh, my. More aqua fans.
@Sparklebrightisright62 Good for you. Get your swimsuit on and enjoy. Hydrotherapy helps sort joint pain. Being weightless in the water makes it so easy to move, and the feeling of wellbeing after is wonderful.

@McHelen, I understand how you feel self conscious at a swimming pool. I used to feel that way, and avoided the exercise I loved for fear of being judged for my obesity. Once I took the plunge (pun intended) I realised that everyone else was too busy worrying about their own ‘less than perfect’ bodies to be bothered about mine.

I didn't realise how much some of the young pool attendance staff admired hard working swimmers. No matter your size.
I think it's easy to assume everyone thinks the same. Like anything no one is the same.
Once I acknowledged how some people see hard working swimmers I didn't care much about how I looked, to a degree. I did buy my swim suit with a skirt on to hide my fat hanging out of a tummy controlled suit.
Now I'd care even less due to weight loss but I still don't like my stretch marked not so bingo winged arms. I'm in 2 minds whether I'll have corrective surgery on one of my pension funds. We'll see.
Loads of overweight people swim in our pools in the North-East of England. I've spent more time avoiding the pool because of my walking rather than my weight. I'd be horrified to be hoisted into one of the public pools though. I guess we all have our fears.
Myself I see any swimmer as a lover of water. So of kindred spirit. :) :) :)
