Hi type 2 on insulin

Hi can anyone help I am type 2 on insulin and tablets have lost 6 pounds in weight in the last 7 days is this normal my diet has remained the same blood sugars have been up and down like a yoyo recently is their anything to worry about

Weight loss might be because between the insulin and tabs, your body is coping better helping you to become less resistant to your own insulin, their your body will produce less of it. By having less, may help weight loss as insulin is a growth hormone. If weight loss continues to be rapid, over a quick period of time obviously see your gp. As for the sugar swings trial and error. Go for less of the high content added sugar foods, and wholegrain versions of carbs if poss. Test and adjust insulin depending on sugar levels as per your healthcare providers guidance.

Hi. Can you provide more information about your insulin regime? You really must review your insulin with your DN. I have an excellent DN so have been able to discuss and modify my approach with her guidance. If you have poor support we may be able to give general opinions from our own experience but it can't be specific for you.
