Hi and welcome. 12 years old is surprisingly young to be diagnosed with T2 rather than T1. Can I ask what your BMI/weight as and whether you are on any medication. How do you manage your blood sugar?

Thanks. I must remember to look at the info first. I guess my next question for the OP is whether the diagnosis should really be T1?

i was originally about 14 stone and i was seen by Dr viner at Great Ormond street hospital and then he transferred me to Middlesex Hospital to be seen up there and that was where i was diagnosed because of my weight with type 2 diabetes and i first was started on metformin Hydrochloride

Hi. Thanks for the information. Is the insulin managing to control your diabetes? Do you need any help from this forum to improve your blood sugar control? What sort of diet do you have?
