Hi I’m Alex, 31 year old male from West Midlands. I’ve been t1 diabetec since I was 6 years old and still waiting for that magic cure I dreamt of when I was a child :) . I have isolated myself from other diabetics and the community and have only really met others when I did the dafne course a couple of years ago, I’m hoping to get myself back on track now with my diabetes and hopefully being on this forum can help with some inspiration. Thanks for reading.

Thanks for the welcome , I will look forward to reading through the vast amount of info and speak to new people.

Thanks urbanracer, That is a very accurate observation. I understand carbs and adjusting insulin to suite etc. but I always lack commitment, I check my blood glucose very regular but fall into the same old pattern of not recording them (I need someone to prod me with a poker all the time) .I did well after the dafne course and my levels were bang on until one night my blood glucose levels dropped and I had a bad hypo and I fell into the same routine of running my levels higher before bed.

I have to admit that I don't record my test results (on paper anyway) anymore, that's what the memory chip in my meter is for.

And with modern tech (do you have CGM or FGM) you can produce as many pretty graphs as you like for your doctor to see and can even upload the data directly to them.
