Hello everyone
My name is lynne and I have been type 2 for about 12 years.i often read some of the threads on here, mainly looking for answers for my many questions.
I have recently moved on to insulin which isn't going to well, but not through lack of trying . To make matters worse I have CKD stage 4. I am struggling with diet and also diabetic diet,
I am from Northampton and as far as I am aware we don't have a specialist nurse to help with my diets.
A nother problem I have is renal failure. My body shuts down on a regular basis, I end up in hospital and find it an almighty struggle to be well again. This I find happens every few months or so, I can't help it happening.
I have turned into a couch potatoe, not by choice but due to the above reasons,
Up to a few years I played hockey and I a ahockey coach. Also up to 2 years ago I coached Bikeability to school children, I have just recently retired from this due to having a stroke.
Anything else you want to know the please ask.

Hi there Lynne and great to have you posting. You are having a rough time.
How long have you been on insulin and what is not going well? Are you on dialysis or still managing with diet?

Welcome Jobbers57. You are certainly having a difficult time. I've just started using insulin two days ago.
