I am always high and low and its taking its toll on my body I am constantly tired and worn out due to this and tips to resolve this will be great

Hello @Niamh1

How are you testing your levels ? What insulins are you taking ? What's your lifestyle like are you active/sedentary ? What do your highs and lows look like ? Is there a regular pattern to this ? Bit of background would be useful.

Reality of living with type 1 is that our levels can be erratic, take a hypo for instance, once you have a low your liver can help out with an extra plug of glucose and then you go high, fight the high with a correction and the liver can also take a bite out of the glucose and bam your low again.

Personally, years ago I couldn't cope with the instability of my levels so opted to eat low carbohydrate so I could take less insulin with less margin for error and my levels were easier to manage, however if I am going high I also avoid eating carbs which would make the issue worse and use exercise to bring my levels down too, so have tactics to help make my control more manageable without the highs/lows.

great thanks for the advise I am on nova and trisba. i have a sensor . my lifestyle is active.
my high and lows are erratic for example if im low i over eat go high again and then low. i have been diabetic for a year and i have recently got this
i generally eat what I want. i may try the low carb diet how has that been for you
