Not been checking my levels lately, just felt lightheaded and tested, BG at 27 (am normally around 12) Took 15 units Apidra, waited 30 mins, tested again but gone up to 29. What should I do?

hi there -with blood sugars that high and the fact that apidra takes 15 minutes to begin working it is not actually surprising that you have seen a rise .
did you eat at the time you took the apidra or was it taken as a correction dose with no food ?
if it were me I would test at 2 hours and hope to see a move in the right direction .
if BG is lower then test a further 2 hours later and correct again if levels not below 10
if not lower at all after 2 hours a further correction dose.

BG went down to 25, had dinner but took 10 more units before dinner. One hour later BG at 25. Will check again in two hours (just before bed).

next thought is -- are you coming down with a cold or are you suffering from any sort of infection that you know of ?

Went to c her yesterday as I ad a appointment I've a underlying prob with my eyes and all blurred and dog me vision git to av a MRI brain scan nowt do with my diabetes and she was pleased as 6/7?in a morn it's just post breakfast the go high so doesn't want to do anythin until my ither orobs sorted
