Does anyone else have trouble with mood swings when their BS is high? I have had a stinky week. I know I have made bad food choices and my head feels full of absolute rubbish. I also feel very tired and extremely irritable and at times on edge too.

I have decided I need to keep a more detailed food diary and maybe write a plan of what I am going to eat so I don't feel tempted.
At the moment I feel tired and grumpy and like I've let myself down by snapping at people and being generally unpleasant to be around :(

Yes jellyb, until i found this forum i was just like your describing, but as i learn't to eat lchf and to a meter( testing before and after eating) i gained control of my bs's and am now much less irritable ,all the best on your journey ::))

Yes but I my case when find myself getting grumpy it is usually down to increased stomach acidity, the grumpiness is the first symptom long before I am aware of any acid reflux burning sensation.

For anyone taking over the counter medication for acidity check the compatibility with your diabetes meds.

High blood sugars do cause one to become hot blooded and quick to lose ones temper, you need to be aware of this and try and keep them well balanced. Low blood sugars make me equally irritable, but not to the extent where I feel like throwing someone out the window..
