High blood sugar

My first enquiry. I have been very thirsty lately, tired. So I use my husbands blood test kit and found my blood sugar to be 12. I did it again in the evening and it was 11.2. I am a little concerned as I dont know much about this. :(
 
Blood sugar levels are put into the following categories:

Normal: 4.0 to 5.9 mmol/l (70 to 107 mg/dl)
Prediabetes or Impaired Glucose Glycemia: 6.0 to 6.9 mmol/l (108 to 126 mg/dl)
Diagnosis of diabetes: more than 6.9 mmol/l (126 mg/dl)
Certainly sounds like your symptoms http://www.diabetesplan.org/diabetes-symptoms/ could be compatible with diabetes so you may want to get them checked out,

Just to make things absolutely clear, Pat is talking about fasting levels. For random blood tests, which OP did, the diagnostic criteria is more than 11.1mmol/l (two tests in the absence of classical symptoms). Either way you should go see your doctor however
