high blood sugars

hi i have had 4 weeks of being ill had tonsillitis that cleared up then suspected scarlet fever cleared up now been diagnosed with guttate psorasis my blood sugar have been as high as 30.0 but no lower than 17.0. Doctor has increased my medication to 2000 mg metformin and 160 mg gliclazide i am being careful about what i am eating drinking gallons of water but nothing is helping any suggestions to get it down i am excersizing when i feel upto it.

Oh Sue you've had a horrible time of it! The only way that I know to lower BG is, as you say, exercise and also drink lots of water. I do hope that you will be better soon and get your bloods down too. Best wishes

Thankyou just feels like its been forever since i felt normal
