Is it possible having an hot bath or shower before you test your bloods affect the results? I've noticed that after a shower mine have been higher than usual, anyone else noticed this ?

If you're talking about first thing in the morning, then I've found that bathing, etc, before I eat (and test) can trigger a liver dump - it thinks I've not got enough "fuel" left overnight to manage! - so for me it's the activity that can cause a higher reading.

I experience the same thing. It doesn't matter what time of day I take a shower, my BG is always higher after. So weird... I thought I was the only one lol

I have just had a shower before lunch and my BGL is much higher than normal for me. I was just glancing at this thread and thought I'd test....perhaps warming the muscles makes them take glucose out of the bloodstream, and the liver tries to balance this..just a thought....

Never noticed any difference tbh, but @Robbity explanation is a good one if you only experience this first thing in a morning.
