High FBG

I know that I've just started testing, but immediately a pattern is emerging.
FBG is always 1 or 1.5 higher than my reading at bedtime.

Can anyone advise why this happens and what I can do to bring it down please?
 
Probably the Dawn Phenomenon, which you can read about if you do a search for it in the forum. Overall low carbing should gradually bring your FBG down over time. You could also try a small snack at bedtime and see if that helps.
 
Have a search round these forums, or Google, for Dawn Phenomenon and Liver Dump. There are a lot of threads where it is discussed. It is a natural occurrence whereby your liver is dumping glucose in your blood stream to keep you going.
