Hi, I was diagnosed with type one a couple of weeks ago.
I ate about an hour and a half ago and took 6 units of novorapid I tested my finger before dinner and was about a 7mmol/l. About 15 minutes ago I had symptoms of a hypo when I tested my finger I was 15.1mmol/l however my freestyle libre sensor said I was 3.2mmol/l, because of this discrepancy I then also did a prick test on my arm which was a 3.6mmol/l. I have since had some lollys and i'm slowly feeling a little bit better and my Freestyle Libre sensor reading is slowly going up.
I've searched online but haven't found very much information about people having massive discrepancies this big between their finger and arm, or having a high finger prick reading whilst having a hypo.
I've only had the Libre sensor for two days and thought it wasn't very good as it was often telling me I was low when my finger pricks were normal, however now I'm not sure which one is being more accurate.
Has anyone had any similar experiences?
