It probably depends what your glucose levels actually are. If you are only a little high then you may well get a recommendation to change your diet and lifestyle, if you're very high then you could be put on meds.
Meds will depend on whether you are tyoe1 or type 2. You may also get referred to a specialist at the hospital.
Acceptance of health treatment claims that are not adequately supported by evidence. I dislike it when people sell ineffective and even harmful alternative health products to exploit the desperation of people with chronic illness.
If you can give us a bit more info it would help. Ask what your test results were. It's a good idea to ask for a printed copy of any blood test results.
