High levels

Hi there just need some advice . My sugar levels have been ok till Friday when I got a steroid injection for my shoulder .when I went to bed it was at 22 during the night could not sleep got up for work at 5 and levels were at 19 as the day went on they have claimed up to 24 for no reason
Phoned NHS 24 for advice they just said double my insulin to bring it down could have been the steroid injection that did it
Not to happy with the advice I got from them
I am type 1 take 10 units of lantus at night novo rapid during the day when I eat

Steroids can increase BG levels in some people. My consultant will not now give me any more steroid injections which assisted greatly in helping to control the pain and aggravation from my severe rheumatoid arthritis - so far not found anything which can replace these injections. Constant pain is dreadful.
