High Morning Readings - fed up

Last night at 10pm (2 hours post supper) 6.7
Today 08.15 7.6. Had cup tea and slice of cheddar
10.15 7.2. Went for brisk 45 min walk
13.15. 6.7. Just made coffee with cream but am afraid to eat
Why is this being so difficult?
 
I suppose it is after all moving in the right direction but I dont know how I will ever get it down enough to an acceptable level. Btw I did eat a homemade nut and seed bar with my lunchtime coffee!
