high reading

Please be patient. It has taken me 9 days to get readings anywhere near normal.

initially, I did skip breakfast and if you immediately start counting the number of grams of carbs you eat in a day and keep it under 150 grams in total then you´ll probably soon get your levels very much down

foods with hardly any carbs are all kinds of meat, also fish but without coating, most nuts bacon cheese salat tomatoes and cucumbers avocado, LIDLs protein rolls , zucchini and most vegs grown over ground , cream full-fat yoghurt, olives olive oil , macadamia nuts are ideal also in the combination of fats.. if you stick mostly to those types of foods you´ll soon be lower in blood glucose.
after meals take a walk to lower it further and do more exercise in general.
if you need a treat then prefer berries instead of fruits.

all carbs counts also the ones on bread and brown rice

metformin only helps very little( under 10 % ) by slowing the livers' job in transforming proteins into blood glucose, the main job is in changing ones food choices

Type 2 and my reading is 22.9 had my meds and still cant get it down anyone help plz.

Hi, I see from your previous old posts you have been having trouble with high blood glucose for a long time.

Is this 22.9 a one-off, or is it normal? It isn't clear from your post

Can you bring us up to date on your diabetes medications. Is it still just Metformin, or have any others been added?

Have you reduced your carbohydrate content at all?
