High readings during Covid 19 vaccine side effects

Hello everyone,

Yesterday I just got the second shot of Moderna vaccine and today I have been experiencing side effects (fever, chills, flu like symptoms, headaches etc.). I could barely wake up from my bed.

Usually, my postprandial never exceeds 7.2 but today it went to 8.3 after just a lentil soup and it seems like difficult to bring it down (2 and half hours and still meter showing 8.3).

Is this really normal during illness?

I'm a 37 years old type 2 diabetic since one year but in remission (never used meds or insulin) and BS never went more than 7.2 (following low carb diet).

Usually around 2 hours, postprandial starts already to decrease but not this time, it scares me..

Your insight is more than helpful!

Thanks,

Many other threads on here about this.
It is a known thing with the vaccines; I had similar with Pfizer.

Yes, when our bodies are stressed, our helpful livers release glucose to help us deal with that stress.
It could be a tough walk, a difficult meeting, an illness, an injury, a bad night's sleep, the reaction to a vaccine, ...
