High sugar levels and increased appetite

Hi, I was diagnosed with Type2 about 8 years ago. Until last year I was treated with Metformin and Victoza but after a series of stressful events sugars went really high and I was put on insulin. This controlled sugars until 2 or 3 weeks ago when levels shot up again. They have been averaging high teens / low 20s - highest was 27.4 and lowest about 11. Couple of questions - does anyone else notice a connection between stress and high sugar and do any of you feel really hungry when levels are higher than they should be??

Stress connection - yes. A gentle stroll in the park was the first thing that started bring my readings down and I don't think it was just the exercise.
I haven't been very high since being diagnosed but before that I was frequently hungry and usually ate sugary things - vicious circle. Probably was bg related and wasn't really hungry just felt like I wanted to eat if you know what I mean.

Now if I feel hungry I exercise.
