High sugars after pregnancy

Hi all,
My baby girl is 7 months old... but I’ve had high sugars most of the time since having her!! Still waiting for a consultant appointment and don’t no what to do about my high sugars!! I’m on novorapid and levemir am and pm, doing 18 units am and 18 units pm of the levemir and novorapid 10-13 each meal time. Any advise would really help me. Thanks

How high are you running? If you haven’t already- I would say say test for ketones first.

Is there a diabetes specialist nurse you can speak to whilst waiting for an appointment?

Sugars are between 10-18 most of the time!
Yeah thinking of ringing my doctors and seeing if I can get in diabetic nurse.

It may just be that post labour your insulin needs have changed? Maybe some of the mums- who have gone through pregnancy on this forum can help.

Are you comfortable doing a basal test?
And are you carb counting?

Not really no,
And carb counting not really trying my best with it, had done more background insulin tonight so will see what happens
