Hi All, I had my second child 5 weeks ago but I’m suffering from very high sugars overnight and don’t know why. I’m going to bed in range (have the libre) but between midnight and the morning my sugars are creeping up to 16-23. Even if I am awake to feed the baby and take a correction dose they are still high in the morning. Any advice?
Thanks

Do you need to check your basal dose? Is it just at night they are high?

ps Congrats on the baby

My sugars before bed are in range so taking anymore basal would cause a hypo xx

Basal takes four hours to act, and it helps you hold a flat line, so if you had taken the incorrect amount then you would increase or decrease slowly overnight. To check your basal is correct, you need to have a carb-free dinner. If you're not on a basal that you can split the dose then it's difficult to adjust.
Otherwise, I find if I eat late, my blood sugars can rise overnight.

My rising blood sugars at night always happen when I've eaten late.
