Hi Been T2 for about 6 years - HbA1c been around 60 consistently. July test is72! Cannot think of any changes in diet, exercise, medication , stress etc at all. Only thing is I had Covid in April -was mild but am wondering if this could be the reason? Anyone else had this ?

It could very well be the Covid - I have had Covid 4 times now and only once was it close to a testing time - my Hba1c was higher but no one thought to tell me. By the time I found out, it was back to normal. Since then I have checked and found my readings vary a lot from normal and for no apparent reason - well apart from distress and anxiety also for no obvious reason.

I also have been affected by the covid vaccines (mine is pfizer), and by covid itself with big spikes in my HBA1c. I also factor in 'covid stress' which includes watching a close loved one with covid from afar, worrying about elderly parents, and my own high risk factor pre vaccines, and socio-economic stresses, due to the pandemic. But mainly, looking at HBA1c results in relation to vaccine and illness and vaccine-illness - it's the vile virus, and response to the dead rna or whatever it is on my blood glucose regulation system (not good!)

There seems to be a small yet significant number of type twos at least who have seen an impact on their beleagured blood glucose systems whilst living, ie outside of the severe illness and death. ps - how do I know this? From the two global diabetes forums. Big veil of silence from medical professionals.
