Hi,

Just after a bit of advise. I’m suffering with pain in my hip just the left side which can also affect my thigh. It hurts when I sit, stand and keeps me awake at night. It doesn’t seem to bother me when out walking. I am going to book a doctors appointment just a little nervous this is diabetes related xx

Sciatic nerve perhaps? Had a very similar experience so understand it as you're almost half waiting for a recurrence, which by itself, can drain you. Could be anything. Diabetes related? Doubt it but you really need to correct it. Best wishes

Could be a bursitis or tendinitis, I'm sporting those myself. (Two docs and one physical therapist can't seem to agree which it is, so we're throwing everything plus the kitchen sink at it right now). So it'll probably be either rest and painkillers for about 6 weeks, or a steroid jab. The steroids could up blood glucose for a bit though, so calculate that in. Could happen to anyone, not just diabetics.

Take care,
Jo

You need a proper diagnosis.
Everyone has a hip/knee/back/shoulder experience, but the correct treatment for them can be endlessly varied, and really needs professional advice.
