I am taking
Yaltormin SR 500mg
Alogliptin 25mg
Losartan 50mg
Lansoprazole 30mg - getting bad indigestion
Atorvastatin 20mg
Indemetacin 25mg - gout symptoms

I have been getting bouts of hives for 2 years now, and have been told to stop taking Atorvastatin as it could be the ‘cause’.

Not taken in for 4 weeks, hives not as bad but still there.

Anyone else having similar issues?
Also feel quite ‘down’ lacking any real libido having the obvious relationship issues..

My drugs are very different from yours but I’m a sensitive soul that develops hives easily. Washing powder is a biggie with me along with certain body washes and if the cat kneads any skin then that takes days to die down. Could it be anything external? We are all very different, but it does get you down! Hope you find your cause soon. If it was the atorvastatin wouldn’t it have gone after a break of 4 weeks?

If you've ruled out a change of washing powder, new clothes etc, it could be to do with 'a filler' in one of your medications. Do the hives get worse so many x number of hours after taking one of your tablets? The only way to rule this out is to explain your hives to your chemist and ask for a different brand of one of your medications. If that doesn't help, try the next medication/different brand etc.

I was covered in hives that kept getting worse, and used this method to identify the culprit. With 2 of my meds I can't take a generic brand for this reason, only the brand name tablet.
