Hole in heart

Hi there. I am type 2 diabetic and recently has a stroke. The doctors found a large hole in heart and it was the likely cause of the stroke. I have had it closed with a device. Has anyone else had a hole closed? I want to be able to get back into hard exercise but although I have been told that the risk of another stroke is greatly reduced I would like to hear from others.

if the hole is closed now and your cardiologist says it is ok, why not? Go for, but not too hard to begin with.
