Hi everyone, I have type 1 and on my first holiday abroad.
My bloods are normally well controlled but since I have been away they have doubled.
I have adapted my insulin and they are still high.
Any advice?
Thank you

My first thought are have you changed your insulin pen/cartridge/vial in case the insulin has 'gone off' and isn't working so well?

Do you count carbs? Sometimes a change of foods can make it harder to count accurately.

Finally, is it possible you're coming down with an illness? Illness or infection can cause high sugars.

Hi @sparkymikeb
i would try using a new cartridge of insulin

what sort of temperature are you holidaying in ?
is your unused insulin being kept in either a fridge or a frio wallet ?
